Valve Asset Management

In existing facilities, valve asset management becomes increasingly complex. Critical valves are difficult to track, failure patterns repeat, spare parts become unclear, and maintenance planning turns into reactive ad-hoc firefighting actions.

NexGen Solutionz supports asset owners with Valve Asset Management (VAM): a structured approach to identify critical valves, prioritize actions, and reduce operational risk.

The goal is simple: fewer surprises, better planning, and maximum value from your installed base.

Our added value

Engineering
consultancy

Smarter valve decisions from FEED to operation

Valves may be a small part of your asset, but they are essential for smooth, safe operations. Too often, valves are integrated into facilities in a way that creates unnecessary complexity, cost, and maintenance risk. The ideal moment to involve NexGen Solutionz is early in the FEED phase, where we can eliminate waste in design before it becomes expensive in procurement and operations. But we are equally skilled in reviewing and optimizing existing installations. We live and breathe technical drawings and specifications. Our consultancy combines valve selection, simplification, and material expertise with smart sourcing and standardization opportunities.

Supply chain
alignment

The right manufacturer, every time

Valve sourcing is not about buying and selling. It’s about aligning technical requirements, manufacturing capabilities, documentation, delivery planning, and quality expectations. NexGen Solutionz maintains a 100+ network of approved manufacturers and aligns the right supplier to every request based on lead time, material requirements, lifecycle expectations, and vendor list compliance. Where possible, we standardize valve selections and streamline procurement to reduce cost and reduce complexity.

Training

Preserving tribal knowledge before it disappears

Across the industry, experienced valve specialists are retiring, and with that, decades of practical knowledge are disappearing from plants, engineering teams, and procurement departments. NexGen Solutionz preserves that expertise and transfers it into your organization through targeted training and workshops. Our sessions can cover general valve knowledge or deep dives into specific valve technologies, material selection, automation, sizing, and component selection.

Our projects

Offshore Platform MRO | North Sea (Dutch Sector)

To increase water flow capacity, we replaced an existing butterfly control valve with a 2” Hastelloy C-276 sliding gate control valve without welding or piping modifications. Instead of a conventional like-for-like replacement, we aligned the client and manufacturer around a different valve type that delivered higher CV values, better controllability, seawater compatibility, and delivery within 6 weeks while minimizing production downtime.

Polymer Plant MRO | Antwerp

A polymer plant in Antwerp required a one-on-one valve replacement without piping modifications, while the original OEM no longer manufactured this valve type. By working closely with a trusted manufacturing partner, we developed a custom 3-ball DBB valve with integrated check valve that matched the existing installation. After successful onsite testing, the new design became the standard replacement for this valve type across the plant.

Skarv FPSO & Valhall Platform EPC Project | Norway Sector

For metering skids on the Skarv FPSO and Valhall platform, more than 100 manual Ball, Gate, Globe, Check, and DBB valves were supplied in Duplex material with Thermal Aluminum Sprayed coating. By aligning the end user, engineering company, EPC contractor, and approved manufacturer, we ensured compliance with strict NORSOK requirements while maintaining product quality and complete documentation despite ongoing project changes.

Baleine II FPSO & FSO Brownfield EPC | Ivory Coast

Four actuated ESD ball and butterfly valves with hydraulic actuation systems were supplied within a fast-track schedule of less than 21 weeks. Through continuous coordination with the four specialized sub-suppliers, critical execution bottlenecks were identified and resolved early, ensuring reliable delivery to the shipyard without compromising valve integrity or committed lead times.

CO₂ Capturing Skid Greenfield EPC | Austria

For a CO₂ capturing skid project in Austria, we sourced no less than 200 valves from 12 different manufacturers, ranging from manual to automated, self-regulating, and safety valves. By working closely with the client’s engineering team during the basic engineering phase, valve selections were streamlined and standardized early in the design process, improving consistency and simplifying procurement.
